Hi, i got a kyosho dbx for christmas and after a few agonising hours of getting it to actually start, it did. but i can only ever get it to idle for like 5 seconds or a bit more. I really dont know what to do. it isnt broken-in so i know new engines are harder to start but it should run for longer right? When i just get it going and start driving it about, it cuts out after about 5-10 seconds. its really frustrating :/. it sounds as though its drying straight away as its started. as the noise just gets quieter and quieter.

i have turned the hi speed and low speed the correct amount being 3 and a half turns and 2 and a half. the manual says to do this. any help is welcome :D

thanks

Normally when they are new they are set really rich for running in and that can make them stall all the time
Best bet is to either take it back to the shop it came from , normally they will sort it for free,
or go the the track next sunday and ask one of the nitro lads to have a look at it.

yer i might pop over on sunday and take a look at the track also :) if i can get my car up and running fine i would be very interested as it is a short bus journey away :D

iv leaned it out a bit and it revs higher as soon as it is started but then the pitch lowers and it slows down and down and eventually cutting out. then when trying to start it again, it just revs and doesnt fully start :/.

thanks for the advice tho :)

oh...another thing iv just found out. a lot of fuel is left in the exhaust and all runs out when i tip it. does this mean its running too rich?

if they sorted it at morley models it should be fine to use at the track
It may need adjusting after you have run it in
